Maintenance and repair work on offshore installations operates under tight constraints: hazardous-area classifications, lifting and transport requirements, and limited deck space all set strict limits on which equipment can be safely deployed. To strengthen its support to clients operating in these environments, G&G DESMAC has added a new 10 ft DNV ATEX Workshop Container to its rental fleet, certified for offshore lifting and configurable for ATEX Zone 1 or Zone 2 hazardous areas.

Offshore-certified, hazardous-area ready
The unit is manufactured in compliance with DNV 2.7-1 / EN 12079, the reference standards for offshore containers and frames intended for repeated lifting in marine environments. The electrical installation is fully ATEX certified, allowing safe operation in classified hazardous areas a non-negotiable requirement on most offshore installations, drilling rigs and FPSOs. The unit can be supplied configured for ATEX Zone 1 or Zone 2 depending on project needs.
