G&G DESMAC Meets Students at Three Technical Schools in Abruzzo

Three sessions in Chieti and Ortona to introduce the company, its international projects and the career opportunities for young technical graduates.

Last week, G&G DESMAC met with students from three technical secondary schools in the Abruzzo region, as part of an initiative aimed at strengthening the connection between the company and local educational institutions specialised in technical and industrial training.

The initiative comprised one session in Chieti at the Istituto di Istruzione Superiore “U. Pomilio Galiani De Sterlich”, followed by two further sessions in Ortona at the IIS “Acciaiuoli-Einaudi” held respectively at the Istituto Tecnico Nautico “Leone Acciaiuoli” and at the Istituto Professionale Industria e Artigianato “G. Marconi”. The three institutes were selected for their alignment with the technical disciplines most relevant to G&G DESMAC’s areas of activity, including industrial maintenance, mechanical and electrical engineering, and maritime technology.

A young company with deep sector experience

During the meetings, the company presented itself to the students: a young industrial enterprise founded in 2022, built on more than 25 years of combined experience that its partners and team bring from leading companies in the sector. G&G DESMAC currently operates in 10 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Caspian Region and is involved in international projects across the Oil & Gas industry, supporting operators, EPC contractors and service companies in different operational contexts. All activities are carried out in compliance with HSE requirements, certified QA/QC management systems and international standards.

Topics covered during the sessions

The discussion focused on three main areas: the company’s business units and types of services delivered (equipment rental, engineering and refurbish, chemical products, business development); the international markets in which G&G DESMAC operates; and the application process, with a focus on the technical and personal qualities valued in junior hires. The company emphasised that, in addition to technical preparation, attitude, curiosity and willingness to learn alongside senior technicians on real international projects make a significant difference in professional growth.

A long-term commitment to local talent

The dialogue with technical schools in the Abruzzo region is part of G&G DESMAC’s broader commitment to talent attraction and to building stable, ongoing connections with educational institutions across the territory. The company plans to continue these initiatives in the coming academic year.
