Strengthening our safety culture from within

Safety Induction session at G&G DESMAC headquarters in Ortona, delivered by our QHSE Responsible.

Safety is not a box to tick it is a shared mindset that must be reinforced continuously. On 10 March 2026, our QHSE Responsible delivered an in-house Safety Induction at our Ortona headquarters, bringing the internal team through a structured session on workplace safety and the values that guide our operations.

An in-house session, delivered by our QHSE Responsible

Twelve members of our internal team attended the Safety Induction held at our Ortona headquarters on 10 March 2026. The session was delivered directly by our in-house QHSE Responsible and was designed to reinforce the awareness and daily behaviours that make a workplace truly safe not as a formal compliance step, but as a moment of alignment on the values that guide how we operate.

Choosing to deliver this training internally was deliberate. Our QHSE function is at the heart of how we work, and having it speak directly to the team rather than outsourcing the message keeps the conversation grounded in our specific operational reality, with examples and references that everyone in the room can relate to.

Built on a certified quality and safety framework

The Safety Induction does not stand alone. It is one element within a structured management system that has been formally certified across the dimensions that matter most for an Oil & Gas service provider:

  • ISO 9001 – Quality Management Systems
  • ISO 14001 – Environmental Management Systems
  • ISO 29001 – Quality Management for the Petroleum, Petrochemical and Natural Gas industries: the sector-specific extension of ISO 9001 developed for the Oil & Gas supply chain

Building on this foundation, we have initiated the path toward API Q2 certification, the American Petroleum Institute standard for service supply organizations in the Oil & Gas industry, widely recognized as a benchmark for service providers in our sector. Pursuing it is a deliberate choice to keep raising the standards we hold ourselves to.

In addition, we publish an annual ESG report that documents our performance on environmental, social and governance dimensions a transparency exercise we consider integral to operating in international Oil & Gas markets.

For our clients operators, EPC contractors and service companies these certifications are not paperwork. They are operational guarantees: assurance that processes are documented, that risks are identified and mitigated, and that our organization is structured to deliver consistently across geographies.

A cardioprotected workplace

Beyond regulatory requirements, our team has completed the training needed to qualify our offices as a cardioprotected workplace. On-site presence of trained personnel and emergency equipment is a small but meaningful step one that reflects a broader principle: safety is not only about avoiding incidents on the job, but about taking care of the people in our workplace, every day.
